Born in Tabusintac, he was the son of the late James Stymiest and the late Ruth Munroe. Besides his wife, Byron is survived by his children, Ruth Stymiest of Miramichi, Rachel Southall of O'Cala, Florida, Rebecca Stymiest of Moncton, Rhoda Peever (James) of Morden, Manitoba, Ruben Stymiest of Moncton and Joseph Stymiest of Toronto, Ont; brother, Gerald Stymiest and his wife Toni of Tabusintac; sister, Jean Adams of Hamilton, Ont.; sister-in-law, Audrey Stymiest of Tabusintac; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Herman. Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton (506) 852-3530 on Friday, November 11, 2005 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 2p.m. Burial to follow at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden tragic passing of Martin Frederick Dempsey, 62, of Moncton, NB. Born on March 26th, 1963, to Carol and Gerald Dempsey.
Martin is survived by his wife and best friend, Ida Dempsey. They were together for 25 years and celebrated many great memories and laughs together. Martin was always the funniest person in the room and truly loved being a jokester.
Martin is also leaving behind his siblings Oswald (Darlene), Jerry (Shaunda), Timmy (Stella), Bonnie (Chris), Marie, and Nora. As well as several nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; and his mother Carol Dempsey.
He was predeceased by his father Gerald Dempsey; paternal grandparents Martin and Lucy Jane (Dolly); as well as his maternal grandparents Archibald and Kathleen Lutes.
Glendon Bishop, 72, of Moncton, passed away on Friday February 12, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on August 7, 1943, he was the son of the late Orris and Ethel (Bannister) Bishop.
Glendon was a self-employed Jack of All Trades.
He is survived by his former wife, Wendy (Garland); three children: Dale Garland (Cathy), Cory (Lisa) and David; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Pauline Weir and Beatrice O'Leary, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by Joe S.
He was predeceased by three sisters: Nancy, Lilian and infant Geraldine.
By request, there will be no visit. The funeral service will be celebrated at Bethel Baptist Church, Pine Glen Road, Riverview on Monday February 22 at 2 pm with Pastor James Chipman Eagles officiating. In memory of Glendon, a contribution to the family towards funeral expenses would be appreciated. It is with great sadness that the family of Pauline Weir (nee Bishop), announces her passing on Sunday, May 12th, 2024 at the age of 74 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Pauline was born in Pine Glen, New Brunswick, Canada on August 7th, 1949 to Orris and Ethel Bishop, formerly of Pine Glen. She was the youngest of 5 children.
Pauline will be deeply missed by her son, Andrew (Lawrence) of Red Deer, Alberta, daughter, Vicky (David) of Edmonton, Alberta; grandsons, Brandon and Nicholas of British Columbia, and sister, Beatrice (Ned) of Newfoundland. She will also be missed by numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Merle Weir; parents, Orris and Ethel Bishop; Stepmother, Helen Bishop; sisters, Nancy (Byron) Stymiest, Lillian (Paul) Henshaw; Brother, Glendon Bishop; mother-in-law, Sadie (David) Weir and numerous other family members.
Pauline will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is also known as a lady who loved the outdoors, enjoyed bingo, family get togethers, reading, puzzles and simply hanging out with her friends; Shirley of Edmonton, Larry of Red Deer, Christine and Sean of St. Albert and Robin of Edmonton, all who will remember her fondly.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2024 at 2 p.m. with a viewing an hour prior from 1 p.m. to 2. p.m. at Westlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery 16310 Stony Plain Road Edmonton, Alberta.

Kim was an all around amazing soul that fought a long and hard battle that most people did not see from her always showing above and beyond strength. Kim fought with bravery, courage and devotion, always taking the time to help people. She was an animal lover, especially of her faithful dogs Bailey and cowboy. She was gentle and kind yet never afraid to stand her ground. God has his hands full with this one. I speak for everyone when I say “ We wish we still did.” Kim was a friend to so many in the St. Stephen area and will be remembered by most as the Dollar Store girl. Kim touched our lives with magic and love, that will never be replaced. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of Kim’s life will be held on her birthday. You will never be forgotten and always loved.

Harold S. Bishop, 65, of Pine Glen, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, December 2, 2022. Born in Pine Glen, he was the son of the late Edgar and Helen (Bannister) Bishop.
Harold worked at Erman Plumbing and Heating as a furnace technician for many years. He enjoyed playing hockey, going skidooing, hunting, travelling, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Alayna.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 38 years, Mary Smith; sons, Cyle and Tyler Bishop; granddaughter, Alayna; sisters, Cynthia Vacheresse (Derrick) and Beverley Hickey (Richie); brother, Edgar Bishop (Linda); as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Bruce.
Peter Ralph Laird, resident of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the age of 69.
Born in Moncton, a son of the late Henry and Maggie (McNevin) Laird, he will be remembered fondly. Peter was a long-time resident of Pine Glen, NB. He spent his life driving around as a taxi driver and always ready for the next call as a tow truck operator. He also had a love for driving gold wing motorcycles. People knew him as a kind person and he would always be there when needed.
He was known for his long, entertaining stories which he loved to repeat often. Peter could often be found at Tims/Needs sharing stories with others.
Survived by his common law wife, Gale Gallant; Son, Colin Laird (Melissa); Daughter, Elizabeth Laird (Sean); brother, John Laird (Gwen) all of Pine Glen; grandchildren, Tabitha (Dwight) and Christopher Laird; great grandson, Cooper Laird. Step Daughter, Daisy; Step grandson, Gunner.
Following his wishes and in honor of Peter there will not be any services held.

Roy Bannister 1943-2001 The death of Roy Bannister, of St.George St., Moncton, and formerly of Pine Glen, NB, occurred on Sunday, December 30, 2001 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born in Pine Glen, NB on April 2, 1943, he was the son of the late Roland and Marion (Elliott) Bannister. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Mollins Excavating Ltd. Roy is survived by a sister, Theresa Lutes (John) of Turtle Creek and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by sisters Kathleen Dunham and Barbara Webber. At Roy's request, there will not be any visitation or funeral service. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred Smith on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Born in Moncton, son of the late Herman and Myrtle Smith.
Alfred will be sadly missed by his three sisters; Phyllis Killiam, Myrtle Campbell and Frances (Garfield) Zimmer, two brothers Ranford (Crystal) Smith and Morris Smith, three step daughters; Virginia Matthews, Bobbi-Jo Matthews and Angela Saulnier as well as several nieces and nephews.

BANNISTER, JAMES M. - 1921 - 2013 - James M. Bannister, formerly of Pine Glen, NB; passed away at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, on Monday, September 23, 2013, at the age of 92. Born in Pine Glen, NB he was the son of the late Ralph and Nancy (Wells) Bannister. James was a former lumberman and construction worker prior to his retirement. He attended Bethel Baptist Church. James will be sadly missed by daughter Vivian Bannister of Moncton; son Russell Bannister (the late Ardith) of Red Deer, AB; by his several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister Beatrice Trites (Harold) of Pine Glen; brothers, Lewis (Geraldine) of Pine Glen, Henry (the late Emily), of Pine Glen and John (Louise) of Moncton as well as nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Irene Bannister in 1995, his son George, brother Roland, sisters Ethel, Helen, Dorothy and Myrtle.
