Peter Ralph LAIRD


Peter Ralph Laird, resident of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the age of 69.
Born in Moncton, a son of the late Henry and Maggie (McNevin) Laird, he will be remembered fondly. Peter was a long-time resident of Pine Glen, NB. He spent his life driving around as a taxi driver and always ready for the next call as a tow truck operator. He also had a love for driving gold wing motorcycles. People knew him as a kind person and he would always be there when needed.
He was known for his long, entertaining stories which he loved to repeat often. Peter could often be found at Tims/Needs sharing stories with others.
Survived by his common law wife, Gale Gallant; Son, Colin Laird (Melissa); Daughter, Elizabeth Laird (Sean); brother, John Laird (Gwen) all of Pine Glen; grandchildren, Tabitha (Dwight) and Christopher Laird; great grandson, Cooper Laird. Step Daughter, Daisy; Step grandson, Gunner.
Following his wishes and in honor of Peter there will not be any services held.
Donations in memory of Peter may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, The Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice.

John Henry LAIRD

John Laird of Pine Glen, NB passed away Sunday, December 21, 2024 at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Henry and Margaret (McNiven).

John worked at a vast array of jobs and usually for himself. His most well-known business was Laird’s Towing. He loved driving his tow truck, a job he never retired from. A well-known face in and around Pine Glen. John could always be found at his office (Tim Horton’s) enjoying his morning tea with friends. John loved nothing more than road trips, looking for old cars and just about anything else he could find that he could repurpose. There wasn’t anything on wheels he couldn’t fix.

John had many aliases, some of which were Dad, Grampie Laird, Papa, Uncle John and Junkman. He truly loved and was proud of all his children, grandchildren and family. He will be deeply missed by his daughters; Tammie Laird, Karen Scott, Robert (Pamela) and John Jr. grandchildren; Hailey, Emily, Walker, Levi, Maggie, Jennifer, Kellie, Justin, Kendyl as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family extends an invitation for all to join them at the Pine Glen Community Centre for a time to celebrate his life on January 4, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. John was always generous giving to many charities over the years. Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice or bringing to his Celebration of Life a non-perishable item for a family in need would be appreciated by John’s family.

Kane Lewis Taylor Bannister

With broken and shattered souls our sweet Kane was taken from us way too soon on Friday, April 8, 2022 at home just shy of his 3rd birthday. He was born in Moncton on May 9, 2019 our angel baby now and always.

He is survived by his daddy Jeremy Bannister and mamma Michelle Taylor of Scoudouc; sister, Kenzie Taylor; brother, Seth Bannister; maternal grandmother, Bev Taylor (late Roland Taylor); paternal grandfather, Lewis Bannister ( late Geraldine Bannister); God father, Eric Martin and God mother, Amy Day; aunts and uncles, Nichole Gaines-Currie, Joyce Wilson (Gary), Marilyn Lowe, Stella Laird, Robert Bannister (Lynn). Many extended family and friends.

Kane was a wild thing who captured the hearts of all who knew him. In his short life he managed to do big things. He will be remembered by many as Kane "the hurri-kane".


Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 between the hours of 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
The funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home Chapel 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Jim Eagles officiating.

Douglas Leonard CHAPMAN

Douglas Leonard Chapman, 56 years, of Pine Glen passed away at his residence, on Friday, March 29, 2013.
Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Benjamin E. and Doreen G. (Mullin) Chapman. Doug dedicated 30 plus years working with Atlantic Underground Services in Riverview.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Bonnie (Bannister) Chapman; daughters Sandi Lee Chapman of Stoney Creek, and Julie Patt (Tim) of Riverview; grandsons Michael Chapman and Jonathan Chapman (Nadia Frenette) both at home, David Tripp, Meghan Tripp and Ashley Tripp, and Zachary Patt all of Riverview, and Stephanie Tripp of Moncton; sister Cynthia Chapman of Riverivew; brothers Danny Chapman (Judy) of Moncton, Donald Chapman ( Jeannine) of Moncton, and Tim Chapman (Cathy) of Riverview; several nieces and nephews. Doug was excited as the arrival of his first great grandchild is expected next month.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother David Chapman.
A celebration of life will be held at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Monday, April 1, 2013 between the hours of 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in Doug's memory made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
