240. Edith Mabel COLPITTS
Mrs. Edith Mabel Simpson, beloved passed away Bethany College Side on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the age of 83 years. Edith was born in Pine Glen, Albert County, New Brunswick on October 28, 1936. She was the eldest of six children. She spent most of her life in the Albert County area. In 2005, Edith moved to Red Deer, Alberta to be closer to her family where she enjoyed a new chapter in life. She always enjoyed flowers and gardening, books and a card game, but most of all visits with family and friends. Edith will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joy (Tom), Joanne (Fred), and Denise (Joe), a son, Rodney and her nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Sheila and Bernice (Don) and their entire family. Edith was predeceasedby her partner, Reg Simpson, her son, Ronald, her parents, Alma and Donald Colpitts, her sisters, Donna and Elainand a brother, Gerry. Rest easy mom, always loved, always remembered.
Mr. Ronald Irving "Ron" Simpson passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the age of 56 years. Ron was born on August 21, 1957 at Moncton, New Brunswick (Pine Glen) and spent most of his life there. He worked for many years for Underground Services in New Brunswick. In recent years, Ron moved to Red Deer where he worked for Denali Oilfield Services. He made many friends there; adding to all the ones down east that will greatly miss him. Ron’s kind and loving spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Edith Simpson and his sisters and brother, Joy Simpson, Joanne Fenbow (Fred), Rodney Simpson and Denise Suehsschlot (Joe); as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins and his many friends.

Obituary of Bernice Frances Boudreau
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bernice Frances Boudreau announce her passing on November 22, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 2, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Donald and Alma (MacDonald) Colpitts.Surviving are her husband, Donald; children, Christine (Mike) Wilbur, Deborah (Charles) Haab and Jeffrey (Tracy) Boudreau; sister, Sheila Colpitts; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Marlene Foley; sisters, Edith Simpson, Donna Claveau and Elaine Colpitts; brother, Jerry Colpitts.
There will be no visitation and a private funeral service will take place at a later date. Interment will be in Oromocto Pioneer Gardens.

BANNISTER, EVA - Eva Bernice Bannister (nee Weir), 88, of Prosser Brook, passed away at the Jordan Lifecare Centre on Monday, March 18, 2013. Born in Turtle Creek, she was a daughter of the late John and Hattie (nee Smith) Weir. Eva was a past member of the Prosser Brook Baptist Church, and the Prosser Brook & Parkindale Women’s Institute. She is survived by her son, Gordon “Gordie” Bannister of Salisbury; her sisters: Elinor MacDonald, and Audrey Steeves; her brothers: John Weir, and Benjamin “Benny” Weir; her special niece, Esther Douthwright; as well as by many other extended family members and friends. Besides her parents, Eva was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Bannister; her sisters: Hilda Morrissey, and Charlotte Martin; and her brothers: Raymond Weir, Howard Weir, Clarence Weir, and Eric Weir.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 5 to 8 pm; the funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart presiding, all in Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac. Mary T. Weir of Riverview, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in New Scotland Road, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Alberta (Ward) Bartlett.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters; Carol Scott (Craig), Gwen Halliday (Cecil) and Linda Guenette (Denis), son: Wayne Killam (Maxine), Dale Killam (Cristal) and John Jamieson (Jen), a step daughter, Patsy McKenna, a step son, Rodney Weir, sisters; Cathy Halbot (Neil) and Leah Cormier, a brother, Percy Bartlett, a daughter in law, Teri Killam, 18 grand children, several great grand children, a great great grandson, Ethan, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard, sons; Richard, Brian and Billy, the father of her children, Vaughn Killam, brothers; John, Roy and Lawrence and her son in law, Dale Murray.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Monday 2-4 and 6-8 with a service celebrating Mary’s Life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 11 AM, with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating. Born again, a child of God, has gone home to be with the Lord to live forever on January 8th, 2019. Eleanor MacDonald, born in Middlesex, NB, on September 3rd, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Hattie (Smith) and John Weir.
She will be deeply missed and is survived by her brother, John (Ruth) Weir; her sisters-in-law, Betty Chamberlain, Vivian Weir, Helen Weir, Colleen Cole; children, Eugene (Georgina), Doreen, Wayne (Judy), Sandra (Oliver), Roger (Donna), Lucille (Larry), Orville (Heather), Eileen (Harry), Baxter (Charlene), Krista (Dale), Layla (Jim), and Jeff (Kelly), several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was predeceased by six brothers and four sisters, her husband and father of her children, Lorne Wilson, husband and soul mate, Ralph MacDonald and son Ivor Wilson.
Eleanor spent most of her life in Turtle Creek and enjoyed vacationing on Prince Edward Island.
She was a member of the Wheaton Settlement Church, an avid listener of gospel music, enjoyed her church community, walking, knitting crocheting, crafts, and sewing.
A Service to Celebrate Eleanor’s Life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1:00 pm with visitation held prior from 12:00 pm until time of service.

BANNISTER-GARBER, DEBORAH - Deborah Irene Bannister-Garber, 61, of Salisbury passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at her home. Born in Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Ethel (Mason) Bannister. Deborah worked as a secretary at the Moncton Air Traffic Control Center until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting and putting together puzzles. Deborah is survived and missed by her son Richard (Christie) of Canaan Forks and grandson Edward; brothers David (Helen), Leonard and Perry (Maureen) all of Colpitts Settlement; sisters Ruth Leaman (Russell) and Kelly Hodgson (John) both of Ferndale and Coreen Clark (Doug) of Petitcodiac and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by a sister Helen Bishop and brother Sonny Bannister. 390. Perry BANNISTER
Perry Bannister, 59, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Russell and Ethel (Mason) Bannister.
Perry worked most of his life at Waddy and Colpitts Farm until his retirement. He spent several years on the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department, retiring as Captain in 2014. Through the years he loved hunting, fishing, darts, anything in the great outdoors. Nothing brought Perry more happiness than a good joke or seeing his granddaughters. There was no one more loyal or quick to lend a hand.
Perry will forever live on in the hearts of his loving wife of 41 years, Maureen (Weir); their children, Heidi Cunningham (Derek) and John-Ross Bannister all of Colpitts Settlement; precious granddaughters, Victoria and Veronica Cunningham; siblings Ruthie Leaman (Russell), David Bannister (Helen), Leonard Bannister, Coreen Clark (Doug), and Kellie Hodgin (John); sisters-in-law, Ardis Noiles (Andy), Julia MacCallum, Gwennie Joyce (Paul); along with several nieces, nephews, and so many friends and extended family; including his great-nephew Jordan who he had a special relationship with and his buddies, Keith, Kevin, and Dave – you kept him young.
In addition to his parents, Perry was predeceased by his sisters, Deborah Garber, Helen Bishop (Orris); brother, Russell "Sonny" Bannister; sister-in-law, Lynda Bannister (Lenny); and brothers-in-law, Charles Murphy and Floyd MacCallum (Julia).

Maureen Bannister, 63, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, January 31, 2022. Born in Parrsboro, NS, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy Weir (Dowe) and Lorne Murphy. Maureen was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Perry Bannister, only two months ago. A love story from childhood, they are now together again.
Maureen spent most of her life as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Many a resident over the years caught her heart. Through the years, she loved playing darts, reading, planting and tending her flowers, and listening to music. She loved concerts and a good party. A gruff exterior with a heart of gold, Maureen was the fiercest Mama Bear any kid or grandchild could have had. Nobody was prouder of her kids or granddaughters.
Maureen will forever live on in the hearts of her children, Heidi Cunningham (Derek); and her "miracle" son, John-Ross Bannister; precious granddaughters, Veronica and Victoria (Jacob) Cunningham; sisters, Ardis Noiles (Andy), Julia MacCallum (The late Floyd), Gwen Joyce (Paul); siblings-in-law, Coreen Clark (Doug), Kellie Hodgin (John), David Bannister (Helen), Leonard Bannister (The late Lynda), Ruthie Leaman (Russell), along with several uncles, her aunt Millie Weir (Lloyd), nieces, nephews, and so many friends and family.
