Miss Carrie Douthwright, 81 of here formerly of Pollett River died at her home Monday.Born in Polett River, she was a daughter of the late John and Matilda (Douthwright) Douthwright. She attended the Pollett River Baptist Church.She is survived by several nieces and nephews.After 7pm today the body will be at Armstrong's funeral home, Petitcodiac. Funeral service will be at 2:30pm. Entombement will be in Maplewood cemetery vault to wait a spring burial.
Douthwright-Funeral service for carrie Douthwright ,81 of Petitcodiac, and formerly of Pollett River, who died at her home Monday, Jan 26,1982 will be held at Armstrong's Funeral home. Petitcodiac 2:30pm Thursday Jan 28. Entombment will be in the Maplewood Cementery to await a spring burial. This body will be at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac after 7pm Tuesday.
Mrs. Ben Douthwright died Dec. 13,1933, age 86 at the home of her daughter. Parents were Mr. & Mrs. William Douthwright. Devoted Member of Baptist Church. First husband Aaron Douthwright widowed 8 years.
Survived by four sons Adam, Jefferson, Frank, Applebee Douthwright; two daughters Mrs. John Douthwright and Mrs. Charles Davis. Two step daughters, Miss Blanche Douthwright and Herbert Douthwright.Burial Gowland Mountain funeral by Doctor DeLong.

Benjamin Douthwright of Pleasant Vale, June 14,1925 - The funeral took place at Gowland Mountain at one o'clock Sunday afternoon.He passed away on Thursday afternoon at his home,in Pleasant Vale. The deceased who was 65 years of age, was well known and highly respected by all who knew him. Though a great sufferer for five weeks his death came as a shock to everybody. The funeral was largely attended, the church being filled to the capacity. People coming from differant parts to pay their last tribute to our brother. The service conducted by Rev. Chas Pineo of the Third Elgin Baptist church in which he was a member. He had chosen for his text John 14th chapter from the first to third verse also his hymns were sung by the choir, Rock of Ages, Abide With Me, Safe in the Arms of Jesus. At the grave, Shall We Gather at the River.
He leaves to mourn a sorrowing widow, two daughters, Blanche of St. John. Mrs. Herbert Douthwright of Little River, two step daughters, Mrs. John Douthwright, Mrs. Chas Davis of Pollett River, also four step sons, Jefferson of Blanchard Settlement, Adam of Turtle Creek, Frank of Gowland Mtn., Applebee of Pleasant Vale with whom he made his home. One brother, Henry of Petitcodiac, one sister, Matilda of Mapleton.
