Bruce DOUTHWRIGHT

April 29, 1955- The death of Bruce Douthwright, 77 year old resident of this community, occurred at his home last night. He was born in Pleasant Vale, Albert County, and was the son of the late Aaron and Ann Douthwright. Mr. Douthwright, a farmer by trade , leaves to mourn his wife, Augusta; five daughters, Mrs. Herbert Douthwright, Pine Glen, Albert County; Mrs. Paul Lisson. and Mrs. Harry Mathews, both of Summerside, PEI; Mrs. Leslie, Douthwright and Mrs. Nelson both of Petitcodiac; four sons Collie, Petitcodiac; Gorham, Moncton; Arthur, Forrest Hill and Alonzo, Church's Corner. Several grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. The body is resting in the slumber rooms of Geldart's Funeral home , Petitcodiac. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2pm from Geldart's Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Parkindale cemetery.


75. Chandler DOUTHWRIGHT

Riverside (Albert Co.) - Chandler DOUTHWRIGHT one of G.D. Reid's teamsters, was taken suddenly ill on the road last Saturday and now lies at his home in a precarious condition.


Frances Carrie TAYLOR

Died: 6 July 1975
The death of Mrs. Frances Carrie Douthwright, widow of Chandler Douthwright of 91 Leeside Drive, occurred Sunday at Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Moncton, she was 92 years of age, a daughter of the late Moses and Elizabeth Jane (Kelly) Taylor. She was a member of First United Baptist Church. Her husband died in 1936. Survivers include five daughters, Mrs. James Hynes (Bessie) of Moncton, Mrs. Ward Snyder (Greta) with whom she resided, Mrs. Robert Steeves (Viola) of Moncton, Mrs. Ownie Douthwright (Hilda) of Pollett River, Mrs. John Plocar (Marion) of Powell River, B.C. Three sons, Deputy Police Chief Harold Douthwright of Moncton,Cecil of Downview, Ont. Reginald of Moncton (Reginald is Hilda's son). Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. The body will rest at Tuttle Brothers slumber rooms with funeral service to be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm at Tuttle Brothers memorial chaple. Interment will be in Hopewell Hill cemetery.


78. Ezra DOUTHWRIGHT

The funeral of Ezra Douthwright was held from the late residence at Stoney Creek, Albert Co., on the 14th. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Fregg in Hillsboro. The Welden choir rendered the hymns, "Nearer My God To Thee", and "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder". He will be greatly missed by friends and family. All members of his family were at his bedside at the time of his passing. Besides his sorrowing wife, he leaves three sons, Frank, Harvey and Clarence, of Moncton, and two daughters, Mrs. Roland Steeves, of Hillsboro, and Mrs. Murray Edgett, of Curryville, Albert Co., and one son, James Douthwright, of Swausea, Mass.
The remains were taken to Nixon Settlement for interment. The floral tributes were as follows: Large wreath from wife and family, and a broken circle by Mr. & Mrs. Frank Douthwright and family, Moncton. Friday, February 18,1927
