357. Marion Bernice DOUTHWRIGHT

Marion Bernice Douthwright, 71 ,widow of Herbert Douthwright of Ammon Road, Moncton, died Friday at Dr. George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a lengthy illness. Born in Pollett River she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Augusta (Douthwright) Douthwright. She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Lewis Bannister ( Geraldine)
Pine Glen Road, Mrs. Donald Herman, (Beulah), Mrs. Ella Belliveau and Mrs. Barbara Gallant, all of Moncton, Mrs. Thelma Douthwright, Toronto and Mrs. Brian Herman (Sheila) Lower Coverdale; two sons Harry, Fords Mills and Richard with whom she resided; three sisters Mrs. Tommy Flannagan (Bertha), Moncton Mrs. Nelson Smith (Pauline) Petitcodiac and Mrs. Ann Mathews Summerside,PEI; Three brothers Collie, Petitcodiac, Gorman and Art both of Riverview; 29 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The body is resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home , Moncton where service will be held 2pm Sunday. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

Callie Douthwright,69 of Petitcodiac died Tuesday at the Moncton Hospital. Born at Colpitts Settlement, he was a son of the late Bruce and Augusta Jane Douthwright. Douthwright he had been employed with Macdonald's Paving Ltd of Moncton and was a member of Petitcodiac United Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Marguerite Mann, two daughters; Mrs Leslie McDonald(Joyce) of Salisbury, a son Eugene Douthwright of Moncton, two sisters, Mrs Berta Flannigan of Montreal and Mrs. Anne Matthews of Summerside,PEI: two brothers Arthur of Petitcodiac and Gorham Douthwright of Riverview, six grandchilren, and by several nieces and nephews. The body is at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac. Funeral Home services will be held 2:30pm Friday at Petitcodiac United Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fair Memorial Gardens.

Marguerite Douthwright, age 93, of Petitcodiac passed away on Wednesday, April 08, 2015 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Prosser Brook, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Ada (Kaye) Mann.
Marguerite will be sadly missDoud by her three children: Shirley (Art) Urwin of Petitcodiac, Joyce (Les) MacDonald of Salisbury and Eugene (Kenda) Douthwright of Moncton; grandchildren: Mikayla Lewis, Kim (Terry) Chambers, Karen (Paul) Mullen, Michael Urwin, Jamie (Lynda) Underhill, Julie (Mark) Mulhern, David (Shelley) MacDonald and Jason (Chontell) MacDonald; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Chad, Zachery, Alyssa, Trycia, Natalie, Brennon and Adrian; great-great-grandchildren: Kalley, Emily, Jacob, Mya and Elye; nephews: Dwight, David, Dwayne and Gilbert; and by her sister-in-law Betty (Mann) O’Neill.
Marguerite was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, doing puzzles and spending time with her friends and loving family. She was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, the Gullison WMS and also the Petitcodiac Seniors. Mom was especially proud of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and found them to be a pure delight.
Marguerite was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Callie Douthwright; great-grandson Brandon Lewis; sister, Blanche Bourgeois; brothers: Albert and Randolph Mann; her sister-in-law Frances Mann; and by her brother-in-law Paul Bourgeois.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, from where visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Petitcodiac Baptist Church with Pastor Robert MacDonald presiding. Interment will be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, a donation made in Marguerite’s memory, to the donor’s choice, would be appreciated by the family.

Frances Laura Douthwright, 89, of Elgin, passed away on July 31, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Church Hill on March 4, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Douglas and Ella (Welton) Douthwright. Frances is survived by her children: Doren Gauvin of Montreal, Gary (Edith) Douthwright of Elgin, Arnold (Shirley) Douthwright of Elgin, Debbie (David) Steeves of Riverview and Darrell (Jean) Douthwright of Elgin; her grandchildren: Heather (Duane), Caroline (Michel), Tanya (Robin), Trevor (Pria), Kevin and Darin (Jessica); eight great grandchildren as well as her sister, Ruby Wilson of Elgin. She was predeceased by her husband, Alonzo "Chubby", her son William, grandson Darcy and her siblings: Gilbert, Addie, John, Leslie, Leona and Irene. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm; the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1pm with Rev. Delbert Bannister officiating, all at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac. DOUTHWRIGHT, GORHAM - 1928 - 2013 - Gorham M. Douthwright passed away at the Moncton Hospital on March 18, 2013. Born in Forest Hill, NB on February 10, 1928, he was the son of the late Bruce and Agusta J. (Douthwright) Douthwright. Gorham owned and operated Gorm's Transmission Service in Moncton for several years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and loved many winters in Florida with his late wife Sadie. He is survived by his step daughter Marlene Lowery (George) of Darlings Island, NB, grandchildren; Linda, Timothy, Stephen, Cindy, Jason and Jeremy, great grandchildren; Tanisha, Luke, Melissa, Julie, Shelby, Eric, Kyle, Jenna, Ashlea and Samantra, great great granddaughters Colby and Tori as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Sadie (Leggett-Thorne), step son, Gordon, brothers; Arthur, Callie, Alonzo "Chubby", Albert, sisters; Marion, Bertha, Gladys, Anne and Pauline.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday, March 23 from 12:00 to 1:50 pm. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. A reception for friends and family will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room. Mrs. Dorothy Douthwright, 31, wife of Vernon Douthwright of Colpitts Settlement, Born in Nixon Settlement, the daughter of George & Eileen (Burtt) Geldart. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, two daughters, Joanne and Rowena, a son George, Blaine at home, Three sisters Mrs Harvey Quackenbush (Faye), Mrs Ralph Tingley (Donna) and Cheryl Geldart, Nixon . A brother Austin of Toronto and several nieces and nephews. Interment in the Nixon Baptist Church cemetery.

Dorothy attended the Nixon Baptist Church and Secretary of the Southeast New Brunswick React Association.

Kerry Douthwright of Colpitts Settlement occurred suddenly Friday. He was seven years old. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Douthwright. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Joanne and Rowena, one brother. Blaine. Predeceased by twin brother Barry. Also survived by grandparents, Mrs Mary Douthwright and Mr. and Mrs George Geldart. Interment in the Nixon Cemetary

Patricia GELDART

Patricia Ann Douthwright, 64, of Colpitts Settlement passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at her home.

Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Marjorie (Tower) Geldart. Patricia was retired from Crawford Housewares, and was a member, treasurer and Sunday School teacher of Nixon Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts and quilting, loved spending time with her family and was popular with the area youth for her cookies.

She is survived and sadly missed by her husband of forty years, Vernon; she was a second mother to children Joanne Haley (Larry), Salisbury, Blaine (Daphna), Colpitts Settlement and Rowena Douthwright, Riverview; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister Jocelyn Steeves (Joseph), Elgin; brothers Charles (Nancy), Nixon, Jeff (Gordon), Moncton, Shane (Florine), Salisbury, Todd, Salisbury, Barry (Jenny), Edmonton, Courtney (Crystal), Salisbury and Stacey (Charlene), Riverview and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by step-sons Barry and Kerry.

Family will receive relatives and friends at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) visiting will be Friday, March 10 from 6 to 9 pm. There will be a family graveside service at Nixon Cemetery at a later date.

603. David Earl CROSSMAN

David E. Crossman of Lutes Mountain, passed away at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital on Saturday, December 24, 2016. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Norman and Verna (Tingley) Crossman.

David was a printer for most of his working career, having worked at Moncton Publishing and later at The Moncton Hospital from where he retired. He had many interests in life, mostly sugar making, gardening, traveling, country music, and his Blue Jays.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 25 years, Janet (Briggs) Crossman, daughter, Darla Crossman (Martin Herring) of Riverview, son, David Crossman of Riverview, step daughter, Corrlee Hebert (Marc) of Lutes Mountain, step son, Wade McConnell (Chantale) of Ammon, brother, Garry (Dorothy) of Turtle Creek, 6 grandchildren: Calvin, Ryan, Jaylee, Josee, Aidan and Caleb, one surviving uncle, Everett Tingley of Turtle Creek, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by 2 brothers: Reginald and Cecil.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Tuesday from 6-8 PM, with a service celebrating his life to take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11 AM, with Rev.
