Carol Lou Bannister, 79, of Hillside View Special Care Home, Moncton and formerly of Salisbury Back Road passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her residence.
Born in Pollett River, she was the daughter of the late Valentine and Greta Douthwright. Carol was a retired Resident Attendant at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home and was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and had a great passion for music and knitting.
She is survived and missed by her children Diane Geddes (Larry), Wayne (Charlene), Kevin (late Debbie), Karen Gann (Ben), and Quentin (Shawna); grandchildren Lisa (Shawn), Andrew, Katherine (Nick), Melissa (Scott), Wesley (Angie), Matthew (Kyra), Emma Leigh (Réal), Aimee (Gary), Robert (Stephanie) and Alyssa (Adam); eight great grandchildren; brother Sydney Douthwright (Cheryl) and three nieces and three nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Allan; brother Wayne Douthwright; daughter-in-law Debbie Bannister and great granddaughter Lauren Buchanan.

BANNISTER, EUGENE - Eugene Mac Bannister passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on October 28, 2012 with his loving family by his side. Born in Prosser Brook, he was the son of the Late Donald and Hilda (Murray) Bannister. Eugene is survived by his daughters: JoAnn (Verne) Milburn, Jean Steeves, Gail (Rick Steeves), Lynn (Kevin) Steeves; sons: Dennis (Krystal Cooper), Douglas (Jocelyne), Scott (Kelly) and Kris (Jodi); brother Clarence (Myrtle), sisters: Etta (Oram) Trites and Lillian (late Stuart). Eugene is also survived by his longtime companion Anna Joyce, and her family; by Aunt Rita (Raymond Good), 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Eugene was predeceased by his daughters Lorraine and Patricia, his children’s mother, Anna, and by several Aunts and Uncles. In his younger years he worked in the woods harvesting lumber, and later managed the Moncton Ice Company for over 40 years until his retirement in 1994. Eugene loved gardening, farming and spending time with his family. He was especially fond of horses and could frequently be found at agricultural fairs participating in light horse shows and horse hauling competitions.

It is with a sense of sadness yet rejoicing that we announce the home going of Gerladine "Grammie B" Bannister on May 8, at 4:10pm, who left Lakeview Manor, Riverview to be with her Lord and Saviour. Born in Stoney Creek, NB, she was 83 yrs old and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Marion Douthwright.
She was a Charter Member of Bethel Baptist Church and a member of the church choir for many years.
Every child growing up around her home and in her church to this day call her Grammie B. Though some are not grandchildren by blood they certainly were by love, and she loved each and every one of them equally.
"Grammie B" loved to cook and was famous for her Turkey Suppers with the "I can't get enough of that dressing" however it was her donuts that have gained fame as the "Best in the World", and was in demand here and in the United States. She was very handy with her hands from gardening to crafts.
A loving, caring and dedicated wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed by husband of 67 years Lewis "Lew" Bannister; her children Stella Laird, Joyce Wilson (Gary), Marilyn Lowe, Robert (Lynn) and Jeremy Bannister all of Pine Glen; seven grandchildren Robert, John, Clayton, Kyle and Seth all of Moncton and Shalon (Manitoba) and Bruce (Ontario); nine great-grandchildren; sister Thelma Allen of Etobicoke, ON; and brother Richard Douthwright (Carol) of Irishtown; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She will also be sadly missed by Seth's mother Lisette Doucett of Moncton.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters Beulah, Ella, Barb and Sheila; a brother Harry, granddaughter Sara Joy Wilson and daughter-in-law Jodey Bannister.

Born in Pine Glen, NB, he was 96 yrs old and was the son of the late Ralph and Nancy (Wells) Bannister.
Lew retired from the Department of Transportation after many years service, he enjoyed his time working as gate keeper of the Causeway Gates in Riverview. In earlier years he worked at Modern Construction and spent most of his working years at Byron Dobson, within the building industry. Lew enjoyed hunting, fishing, he loved beating people at darts and dominos, cheering on the "Blue Jays" and above all he enjoyed family time.
A loving, caring and dedicated husband, father, grand and great grandfather, brother and friend, he will be sadly missed by his children Stella Laird, Joyce Wilson (Gary), Marilyn Lowe, Robert (Lynn) and Jeremy (Hailey) all of Pine Glen; seven grandchildren Robert, John, Clayton, Kyle, Seth and Hannah all of Moncton and Shalon (Manitoba) and Bruce (Ontario); many great-grandchildren; sister Beatrice (Harold) Trites of Pine Glen; and brother Henry of Pine Glen; as well as many nieces and nephews and many neighbourhood kids who called him "Grampy B". It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Harold Douthwright. Born on February 10, 1941 in Petitcodiac, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.Richard is survived by beloved wife Carol (Budd), his cherished partner of 65 years. He was a loving father to Patsy Morton (Clarie), Ricky (Elaine Murphy), Kimberley (Stephen), Wendy Lewis (Farrell), Danny (Helene), and Shirley DeRoche (Fred). He will also be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, special friends, Paul and Lynn Barbour, and sister Thelma Allen.
Richard was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Marion Douthwright, as well as his siblings Harry, Geraldine, Beulah, Ella, Barb, and Sheila.
A dedicated worker, Richard spent 43 years with Underground Services (G.I.F.C.O). Upon his retirement, he and Carol were gifted a memorable cruise to Alaska and a scenic journey through the Rocky Mountains.
Richard’s warmth, humor, and love for his family will be cherished forever. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and deep love for those around him.
