529. Gordon Edward STEEVES

STEEVES, GORDON EDWARD - Gordon Edward Steeves, 71, of Elgin, passed away at home on Thursday, April 11, 2013. Born in Elgin, he was a son of the late Harold “Jerry” and Annie (nee Bannister) Steeves. Gordon worked for G.E. Barbour Foods before his retirement. He was a member of the Elgin Fire Department for 37 years, and he was a member of the First Elgin Baptist Church. He enjoyed horseshoes, bowling, playing washers, and cribbage, but his first love was his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 49 years, Elsie Steeves (nee Garland); his children: Jim Steeves of Elgin, Donna Steeves (Terry) of Sussex, Mary Lynne Steeves of Elgin, and Douglas (Chrys) of Salisbury Back Road; his brother, Garry Steeves (Linda) of Elgin; and his cherished grandchildren: Zachery, Destiny, and Dyllan; as well as by many extended family members and friends. Besides his parents, Gordon was predeceased by his brother, Arnold.
Visitation will be held on Sunday April 14, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac; the funeral service will be held on Monday April 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the First Elgin Baptist Church with Rev. James Hammond and Rev. David Hawkesworth presiding. Interment will be held in the New Elgin Cemetery. Donations to the Elgin Fire Department or a Living Memorial would be appreciated by the family. Obituary for Todd Fraser Garland
It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of Todd Fraser Garland on Saturday, October 19th in Ocala, Florida.
Todd loved working with horses and was happiest when he was around them.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of Reginald and Cheryl Garland.
Todd will be missed by his mother, Cheryl Garland (Frazee), grandfather, (Pops) David Wright, sisters, Nancy Garland, Kelly Beaulieu (David Crossman ), Mary-Ellen Nicholson (Dean), nieces, Heidi (Evan) Alana ( Shawn) and nephews, Justin (Jessica ) Kyle (Renaye) and Spencer ( Madison ). Great nieces, Madelyn, Alaia great nephew Alexander. Many aunts uncles cousins and friends. Best friend Stacey Maxwell, close friends in Florida and Missouri
Todd was pre deceased by his father Reginald Garland, maternal grand parents George and Grace Frazee, paternal grandmother Edith Garland, and special friend Karen Mueller.
Celebration of life will be at a later date.


Glendon Orris BISHOP

Glendon Bishop, 72, of Moncton, passed away on Friday February 12, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on August 7, 1943, he was the son of the late Orris and Ethel (Bannister) Bishop.
Glendon was a self-employed Jack of All Trades.
He is survived by his former wife, Wendy (Garland); three children: Dale Garland (Cathy), Cory (Lisa) and David; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Pauline Weir and Beatrice O'Leary, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by Joe S.
He was predeceased by three sisters: Nancy, Lilian and infant Geraldine.
By request, there will be no visit. The funeral service will be celebrated at Bethel Baptist Church, Pine Glen Road, Riverview on Monday February 22 at 2 pm with Pastor James Chipman Eagles officiating. In memory of Glendon, a contribution to the family towards funeral expenses would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).


Bernice Frances COLPITTS

Obituary of Bernice Frances Boudreau
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bernice Frances Boudreau announce her passing on November 22, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 2, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Donald and Alma (MacDonald) Colpitts.

Surviving are her husband, Donald; children, Christine (Mike) Wilbur, Deborah (Charles) Haab and Jeffrey (Tracy) Boudreau; sister, Sheila Colpitts; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Marlene Foley; sisters, Edith Simpson, Donna Claveau and Elaine Colpitts; brother, Jerry Colpitts.

There will be no visitation and a private funeral service will take place at a later date. Interment will be in Oromocto Pioneer Gardens.

Donations in Bernice’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
