571. Vaughan BANNISTER

BANNISTER, VAUGHAN - Vaughan Everett Bannister, 76, of Salisbury passed away at his residence Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Born in Killams Mills, he was a son of the late Leonard and Maizie (Berry) Bannister. Vaughan was a retired labourer from Fawcett's Lumber Company. He is survived and missed by his sisters Alena M. Carter and Lila Gallant both of Salisbury and Marguerite Middleton (Ron) of Mapleton and several nieces and nephews. Vaughan is predeceased by sister Marion Douthwright and brother Donald. Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Friday, March 2 from 12 noon until time of funeral at 1 pm with Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Interment at Parkindale Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.


575. Boyd D. HARRISON

Boyd Darrel Harrison, 82, of K. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly Elgin passed away at the home Saturday February 18, 2017.

Born in Elgin he was a son of the late Thomas and Edna (Bannister) Harrison. In his early working years he worked at Canadian Gypsum and he retired from Tank Truck Transport of Montreal. Returning to his beloved Elgin in retirement he enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Survived and sadly missed by his sisters Linda Steeves (Willard) and Donna Harrison and brothers Lester, Eldon (Carolyn), Ronald and Thomas (Shirley); his step-daughter Ann Boland and by nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his first wife Annette, second wife Linda, a special niece Deborah Harrison, sisters Dorothy Steeves and Joann Harrison, brothers Harvey, Everett, Gerald, Fraser, Reid and Douglas.

Resting at Armstrong’s Funeral Chapel, 33 Russell St. Petitcodiac (756-3361) visiting will be Thursday February 23 from 1 p.m. until Funeral at 2 with Rev. Bill Parks officiating. Interment at Pleasantvale Cemetery at a later date.


Willard Lloyd CROSSMAN

Willard Lloyd Crossman passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, April 1 1990. He is survived by his wife Leona Chapman- Gillis (Cossman), daughters Phyllis andora, sons Charles Ken, Robert and Burton. He was predeceased by his first wife Enid P. Wilson (Crossman) in 1980.


584. Dora CROSSMAN

HAINES, DORA CROSSMAN - Dora Crossman Haines, of Dorn Ridge, wife of the late Wallace Haines, occurred on January 18, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton in 1938, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Enid Crossman of Moncton. Dora is the mother of Deborah Haines (Erwan) of Montreal, PQ, Bill Haines of Fredericton and David Haines (Pamela Hatheway) of Fredericton; grandmother of Michael, Melissa, Anna and Olivia Haines; sister of Phyllis (Ulysses) Dupuis of Moncton, Ken (June) Crossman of Moncton, Charlie (Teddy) Crossman of Moncton, Burton (Geri) Crossman of Calgary, AB, Robert (Corinne) Crossman of Bonaccord, AB and several nieces and nephews; special friends, Thelma and Colin Cumberbatch of Duncan, BC. She was a member of the Dorn Ridge Church of Christ, Burtts Corner Tops, Fredericton Quilters Guild, Keswick Valley Seniors, the Young at Heart Seniors in Burtts Corner and the Laubach Literacy Council. Dora was comforted by all the prayers and good wishes from all the churches in her community and her many friends and family throughout her battle with cancer. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.


495. Wilfred James LOUNSBURY

LOUNSBURY, WILFRED JAMES - Wilfred James Lounsbury, 90, of the Jordan LifeCare Center and formerly of Wheaton Settlement, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his residence. Born in Wheaton Settlement, he was a son of the late G. Edwin and Edith (Howard) Lounsbury. Wilfred was a retired farmer, carpenter and mail driver. He was a member of the Wheaton Settlement Baptist Church. He is survived and missed by his daughters Alice Symes (Joe) of Harcourt and Mary Plaggenborg (Johan) of Sussex; sons James (Olive) and David (Debbie) both of River Glade and Nelson (Mary) of Coles Island; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brother George of Wheaton Settlement; sister Edith Allen (William) of River Glade; sister in law Maude Colpitts; brother in law Claude Bannister; special niece Sherry Seely (Grant) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife W. Myrtle (Bannister); second wife Frances (Budd) (Dunstin) and sister and brother in law Gladys and Lloyd Dixon. Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday, July 21, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Friday, July 22 at 1 pm with Pastor Lloyd O'Blenes officiating. Interment at Fair Haven Cemetery. In memory of Wilfred, if desired, memorials to Jordan LifeCare Center or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
