Wayne ROGERS

ROGERS, WAYNE STANLEY - 65, of Salisbury passed away at the Moncton Hospital on July 1, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Born in Wheaton Mills, he was the son of Kathleen "Kay" (nee Gammon) (Joseph) Price of Salisbury West, and the late Stanley Rogers. Wayne graduated from Salisbury Regional High School and worked for the CN Railway as a machinist for over 35 years. After retiring from CNR, he worked part-time for Trent Blakney Towing & Excavating. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Salisbury Fire Department for several years, retiring after serving as fire chief for five years. An avid outdoorsman, Wayne enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, four-wheelering, hunting, and most of all, time spent at the camp. Besides his mother, Wayne is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joann Rogers (nee Lounsbury); his sons: Terry (Tina) of Hillgrove, and Scott (Kim) of Salisbury; his grandsons: Bailey "Buck", Mitchell, Jagger, and Pierce, who were the loves of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Rogers (Lloyd Cochrane) of Salisbury, as well as by several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private celebration of Wayne's life as per his request. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac (506-756-3361). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pine Hill Cemetery Fence Fund (donations can be made at the Bank of Commerce in Salisbury) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. 630. Eric George WEIR

WEIR, ERIC GEORGE - 1932-2011 - Eric George Weir, 79, of Riverview, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late John and Harriett (Smith) Weir. Eric attended the Nixon Baptist Church, a retired self employed woodsman and dump truck driver, who truly loved spending time working on his farm and with his horses. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Weir (Burrell), daughter; Ann Steeves (Peter) of Turtle Creek, son; Mitch (Cathy) of Colpitts Settlement; sisters; Audrey Steeves of Salisbury, Eleanor MacDonald and Esther Douthwright both of Turtle Creek, Eva Bannister of River Glade, brothers; Jack (Ruth) and Bennie (Vivian) both of Turtle Creek, his grandchildren; Tony, Corey, Kyle and Joselyn, great-grandchildren; Lyam and Ophelia as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Rick, sisters; Charlotte and Hilda, brothers; Ray, Guy, Clarence, and Howard. The funeral service will be held from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007), on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Paul Leger officiating, the family receiving visitors from 1:00 PM, until the time of the service. Donations to the Kidney Foundation of NB or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. 633. Benjamin WEIR

Bennie K Weir, 80, of Turtle Creek, NB; passed away after a courageous and lengthy illness at The Moncton Hospital, on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

Born in Middlesex, he was the son of the late John and Hattie Weir. Bennie was a farmer, lumberman and construction worker. He loved his horses and dogs and liked watching western movies. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Vivian (Fearon); daughters Cheryl Pooley (Robin), Linda Bishop (Gary), Kelly and Sheila (Perry); sons Brian (Debra), Lindsay (Betty) and Kevin (Cathy); sister Elenor MacDonald (the late Ralph); brother Jack (Ruth); nineteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; as well several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by son Danny, sisters Hilda, Charlotte, Eva and Audrey; brothers Clarence, Guy, Ray, Howard and Eric.

Resting at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 1:15pm to 2:00pm.

The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating.

Interment will be in Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview, NB

STEEVES, AUDREY - Audrey Nina Steeves, 73, of Jordan Life Care Centre and formerly of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John and Harriett (Smith) Weir. Audrey was a homemaker, a member of the Middlesex Baptist Church and in her early working years did janitorial work at department stores in Moncton. She enjoyed music, especially at church, and spending time with her family. She is survived and missed by her son Norman J. Mitton (Angie) of Prosser Brook; grandchildren Tanya Mitton (Aaron) and Danny Mitton (Kelly); great grandchildren Jessica, Courtney, Bradley and Jaxon; brothers John Weir and Benjamin Weir (Vivian) both of Turtle Creek; sister Eleanor MacDonald of Turtle Creek; special niece Esther Douthwright and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by first husband Norman L. Mitton; second husband Carl Steeves; granddaughter Tammy L. Mitton; sisters Hilda Morrissey, Charlotte Martin and Eva Bannister and brothers Guy, Clarence, Raymond, Howard and Eric Weir.

635. Esther Evelyn WEIR

IT HAS BEEN KNOWN BY MANY THAT ESTER WAS A CHILD BORN FROM INCEST BETWEEN CHARLOTTE AND HER FATHER, JOHN WEIR. Ester Douthwright of Turtle Creek passed away at home on December 21, 2018 at the age of 73. Born in Petitcodiac, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte Martin.

She was a member of the Dawson Settlement Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and volunteering at the Lakeview Manor.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Allan (Lee) of Riverview; sisters, Eleanor MacDonald of Turtle Creek, Carol (Rick) Eagle; brothers, Jack Weir of Turtle Creek and Dale. Besides her parents, Ester was predeceased by her husband, Allan, in 1990, brothers, Eric, Ray, Guy, Clarence, Howard, Gerald and Benny, and sisters Hilda, Charlotte and Audrey.

A funeral service will be held for from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 220 Whitepine Rd. Riverview, 869-2007 on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 1:00pm with Rev. David Ross officiating. Visitation will take place before the service from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. The interment will follow the service at Fair Haven Cemetery. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Sarah "Sadie" Marjorie TOWER

In Loving Memory of Sarah Sadie(Tower) Weir-1911/2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sadie Weir of Moncton at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, Feb.20,2003 in her 92nd year. Sadie will be sadly missed by her daughters; Ardith Bannister(Russell) of Red Deer, Alberta and Sheila Reid(Laurence) of Moncton. Sons; David (Sheila) of St. Paul, NB...Earl(Pauline) of Moncton...Dale(Yvonne) of Halifax, NS, and Royden(Suzanne) of Moncton. Daughters-in-law...Beatrice(Gerald) and Pauline(Merle). 29 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, David; Sons, Gerald and Merle. The last surviving member of her immediate family...she was also predeceased by her brothers, John and Percy; sisters, Lillian and Edith.
Interment was at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.


Nellie Seviah ROBB

ROBB, NELLIE - Nellie Seviah (Weir) Robb, 96, of the Jordan Lifecare Center, The Glades and formerly Salisbury passed away peacefully Saturday, November 30, 2013 at her residence. Born in Middlesex she was a daughter of the late John and Blanche (Geldart) Robb. A homemaker she was a member of the Middlesex Baptist Church and the W.M.S. of the church. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and cooking for her family. Survived and sadly missed by her children Arnold Weir (Sylvia Mitton) of Middlesex, Harold Weir (Dorothy Louise) of St. George, Helen Wright (Robert) of Salisbury, Brian Weir and Julia Quinlan, both of Rocky Mountain House, A.B.; 19 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by her first husband Robert N. Weir; second husband Clifford Robb;daughter in law Phyllis Weir; brothers Archie, Johnny, Irvine, Andy, Hughie and Earl Robb; sisters Abbie, Marion, Eva, Mamie, and Annie; grandsons Craig and Bruce Weir.
