BANNISTER-GARBER, DEBORAH - Deborah Irene Bannister-Garber, 61, of Salisbury passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at her home. Born in Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Ethel (Mason) Bannister. Deborah worked as a secretary at the Moncton Air Traffic Control Center until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting and putting together puzzles. Deborah is survived and missed by her son Richard (Christie) of Canaan Forks and grandson Edward; brothers David (Helen), Leonard and Perry (Maureen) all of Colpitts Settlement; sisters Ruth Leaman (Russell) and Kelly Hodgson (John) both of Ferndale and Coreen Clark (Doug) of Petitcodiac and several nieces and nephews. 792. Perry BANNISTER
Perry Bannister, 59, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Russell and Ethel (Mason) Bannister.
Perry worked most of his life at Waddy and Colpitts Farm until his retirement. He spent several years on the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department, retiring as Captain in 2014. Through the years he loved hunting, fishing, darts, anything in the great outdoors. Nothing brought Perry more happiness than a good joke or seeing his granddaughters. There was no one more loyal or quick to lend a hand.
Perry will forever live on in the hearts of his loving wife of 41 years, Maureen (Weir); their children, Heidi Cunningham (Derek) and John-Ross Bannister all of Colpitts Settlement; precious granddaughters, Victoria and Veronica Cunningham; siblings Ruthie Leaman (Russell), David Bannister (Helen), Leonard Bannister, Coreen Clark (Doug), and Kellie Hodgin (John); sisters-in-law, Ardis Noiles (Andy), Julia MacCallum, Gwennie Joyce (Paul); along with several nieces, nephews, and so many friends and extended family; including his great-nephew Jordan who he had a special relationship with and his buddies, Keith, Kevin, and Dave – you kept him young.
In addition to his parents, Perry was predeceased by his sisters, Deborah Garber, Helen Bishop (Orris); brother, Russell "Sonny" Bannister; sister-in-law, Lynda Bannister (Lenny); and brothers-in-law, Charles Murphy and Floyd MacCallum (Julia).
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Perry`s Life at 47 Bannister Rd, Colpitts Settlement, on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 2 -6 pm. Covid restrictions apply. Maureen Bannister, 63, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, January 31, 2022. Born in Parrsboro, NS, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy Weir (Dowe) and Lorne Murphy. Maureen was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Perry Bannister, only two months ago. A love story from childhood, they are now together again.
Maureen spent most of her life as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Many a resident over the years caught her heart. Through the years, she loved playing darts, reading, planting and tending her flowers, and listening to music. She loved concerts and a good party. A gruff exterior with a heart of gold, Maureen was the fiercest Mama Bear any kid or grandchild could have had. Nobody was prouder of her kids or granddaughters.
Maureen will forever live on in the hearts of her children, Heidi Cunningham (Derek); and her "miracle" son, John-Ross Bannister; precious granddaughters, Veronica and Victoria (Jacob) Cunningham; sisters, Ardis Noiles (Andy), Julia MacCallum (The late Floyd), Gwen Joyce (Paul); siblings-in-law, Coreen Clark (Doug), Kellie Hodgin (John), David Bannister (Helen), Leonard Bannister (The late Lynda), Ruthie Leaman (Russell), along with several uncles, her aunt Millie Weir (Lloyd), nieces, nephews, and so many friends and family. With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Henry R. Bannister of Moncton, New Brunswick, born in Pine Glen, New Brunswick, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Norma Marie (Roy) Smith Peacefully at the Dr. G.-L. Dumont Hospital on Sunday, January 13, 2008. Born December 13, 1938 in Néguac, NB, she was the daughter of late Arthur Roy and Emma Robichaud. Sheila L. Weir, 57, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
Born in Lutes Mountain, she was the daughter of Bette (Terris) and the late Ray Murray.
Sheila was a former waitress at the Wharf Village Restaurant and enjoyed reading, travelling and social gatherings.
In addition to her mother, Bette, Sheila will be sadly missed by her husband, David Weir; sons, Blair Killam (Elizabeth) of Moncton and Jaret Killam (Daisy) of Moncton; grandchildren, Breanna, Morgan and James; stepchildren, Cindy, Deborah, Terry and Kenneth; several step grandchildren; three sisters, four brothers and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In keeping with Sheila’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Interment will be held at Birch Hill Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that the family of Pauline Weir (nee Bishop), announces her passing on Sunday, May 12th, 2024 at the age of 74 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Pauline was born in Pine Glen, New Brunswick, Canada on August 7th, 1949 to Orris and Ethel Bishop, formerly of Pine Glen. She was the youngest of 5 children.
Pauline will be deeply missed by her son, Andrew (Lawrence) of Red Deer, Alberta, daughter, Vicky (David) of Edmonton, Alberta; grandsons, Brandon and Nicholas of British Columbia, and sister, Beatrice (Ned) of Newfoundland. She will also be missed by numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Merle Weir; parents, Orris and Ethel Bishop; Stepmother, Helen Bishop; sisters, Nancy (Byron) Stymiest, Lillian (Paul) Henshaw; Brother, Glendon Bishop; mother-in-law, Sadie (David) Weir and numerous other family members.
Pauline will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is also known as a lady who loved the outdoors, enjoyed bingo, family get togethers, reading, puzzles and simply hanging out with her friends; Shirley of Edmonton, Larry of Red Deer, Christine and Sean of St. Albert and Robin of Edmonton, all who will remember her fondly.

Ardith (Weir) Bannister 1943-2005 Red Deer, Alberta--It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ardith Mae Bannister at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 23 at the age of 62. She will be missed more than words can say by her best friend and husband Russell Bannister; son, Jeffrey; daughters, Naomi (Larry), Terri (John), Angela (Ken), and fosterdaughter Denise (Joe). Ardith's grandchildren; Alysha, Tori, Erica, Jayce, Hailey and Riley were the lights of her life and gave her tremendous hope and happiness. Ardith is also survived by her sister, Sheila (Laurence) Reid; brothers, David (Sheila), Earl (Janet), Dale (Yvonne), and Royden (Suzanne) Weir; sisters-in-law, Vivian, Beatrice (Gerald), and Pauline (Merle). She was predeceased by her father, David; mother, Sadie Weir, and brothers, Gerald and Merle. Besides her immediate family, Ardith touched the lives of countless neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Laurence "Larry" A. Reid, 72, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday September 1st, 2012. Born in Hopewell Cape, he was the son of the late Percy Reid and Jean Dikens. Larry was a retired truck driver with Ben’s Bakery (32 years service), was an avid music collector and enjoyed gardening.
Larry will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 41 years, Sheila (Weir) Reid; daughters, Cheryl Reid (David Pretty) of Halifax, NS; Cathy Hennessey (Shane) of Charlottetown, PE; Kim Reid (Danny Sonier) of Moncton; 3 precious grandchildren, Taylor, Amy and Carter Hennessey; brother, Thomas Dikens of Dallas, Texas. 663. Arnold WEIR
Arnold Nathan Weir, 81, of Colpitts Settlement passed away April 2, 2018 at The Moncton Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born in Middlesex, he was the son of the late Robert and Nellie (Robb) Weir, and husband of the late Phyllis Weir.
He built his own home, lived there 55 years and finished his house after his retirement.
As an entrepeneur, Arnold attended business school, and started his own business in 1975 "Arnold Weir Roofing and Siding" which his son continues to operate today. He was a member of Legion Branch #31 Salisbury and longtime member of the Dart League. After retirement, Arnold got very active, with skating downhill skiing, and biking to keep up with the kids. He always loved to socialize and was happiest surrounded by family.
Arnold is survived by daughters Paulet (Earlin), Lana, Kim (Albert), Janice (Hart), Sunday, Bonnie (Kevin) and Lisa (Michael), sons Ricky (Kathy), Jeff (Kim), 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, brothers Harold (Louise) and Brian, sisters Helen (Bob) Wright, Julia Quinlan, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents and wife, Arnold was predeceased by sons Craig and Bruce and son-in-law Gary Campbell.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Rt 106 (372-4800) on Thursday April 5 from 2 to 4 p.m.to help them celebrate his life. It was Arnold's wish to have his body donated to the study of medical sciences at Dalhouise. Interment will take place in Middlesex Cemetery at a later date.
