Clarence Bannister
1931-2021
Clarence Bannister of Moncton passed away on Sunday, March
28, 2021 at the Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home. Born in Pollett River,
he was the son of Don and Hilda (Murray) Bannister.
He was formerly employed with Wallace Warehouse and retired
from Westinghouse and was a member of the Church of the
Nazarene.
Clarence will be dearly missed by daughters, Phyllis Wilson,
Cathie Way (John), Beverly Steeves (Fred), Kim Cole (Larry) and
Darlene Brown, son, Rick (Debbie), daughter in law, Kathy Bannister,
stepsons; Stuart, David, Paul and Ronald Costain, step daughter, Velma
Milburn, 23 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and two
great-great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Clarence was
predeceased by his wife Myrtle, daughter, Nancy Campbell; son, David
Bannister, the mother of his children, Shirley and a brothers, Oakley
and Eugene, sisters, Etta Trites and Lillian Bannister.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview, NB, (869-2007) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A
celebration of Clarence’s life will take place from the
funeral home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 1 PM with Rev. Patti
Rossiter presiding. For those attending the service on Wednesday, you
are asked to contact the funeral home at 869-2007 or email info@cobbsfuneralhome.ca
with your name and number in your group. The interment will follow at
Steeves Mountain Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the IWK
Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.


296. Etta Pearl BANNISTER

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Etta Trites of Mississauga, ON on February 27, 2020.

She is survived by her husband Oram and predeceased by her parents, Donald & Hilda, baby brother Oakley, sister Lillian and brother Eugene.

She will be missed by her children Sandra (Mark) Johnson and Christopher (Patricia) Trites; her grandchildren Joshua (Mallorie) Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Sara (Chris) Klerks, Ashley (George) Orlu Martins, Tyler (Lyle) Smith and Karissa Trites; great-grandchildren Alexcia, Anthony and Lemarkiss; brother Clarence and her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery - 10061 Chinguacousy Rd. Brampton (at Bovaird) 905-460-9155 on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 11am - 1 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 1pm. Burial will be held at Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery, followed by a reception in the funeral home.


196. Wilda MURRAY

BANNISTER, WILDA - Wilda B. Bannister, 85, of the Jordan Lifecare Center and formerly of Hillside, passed away at her residence on November 18, 2011. Born in Prosser Brook, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Pearl (nee Prosser) Murray. Wilda was a member of the First Elgin Baptist Church, and the Women’s Institute in Elgin. She is survived by her husband, King Bannister; her daughters: Fern Bannister of Rusagonis, and Ellen Bannister of Charlottetown, PE; her son, Robert Bannister of Moncton; her sister: Reta Good of Steeves Mountain; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, Wilda was predeceased by her daughter, Lois Shaffer; her son, Earl Bannister, her sisters: Eldora DesRoche, Daisy Trites, Rena Trites, Lillian Munro, Bernice Hopper, and Hilda Bannister; and her brothers: Bill Murray and Lewis Murray.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 6 to 9 pm in Armstrong’s Funeral Home, Petitcodiac; the funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 22, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the First Elgin Baptist Church with Pastor David Hawkesworth and Rev. Donald MacDougall presiding. Interment will be held in the Hillside Cemetery. Donations to Gideon Bibles or the Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated by the family. King William BANNISTER

BANNISTER, KING WILLIAM - 91, of Hillside, passed away on September 27, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Hillside, he was a son of the late Zelotes and Laura (nee Steeves) Bannister. King was a member of the First Elgin Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughters: Fern Bannister of Rusagonis, and Ellen Bannister of Charlottetown, PE; his son, Robert Bannister of Moncton; as well as by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, King was predeceased by his wife, Wilda Bannister (nee Murray), his daughter, Lois Shaffer; his son, Earl Bannister; his sisters: Vesta Beck and Laurine Ayer; and his brothers: Raymond Bannister and Murray Bannister.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Armstrong's Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, from where visitation will be held on Sunday September 30, 2012 from 6-9 pm; the funeral service will be held on Monday October 1, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Hawkesworth presiding at the First Elgin Baptist Church. Interment will be held in Hillside Cemetery. Donations to the Hillside Cemetery, the New Elgin Cemetery, the Gideon Bibles or the Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated by the family. Frank Edward VAUGHAN

Frank Edward Vaughan, 68, of Moncton passed away peacefully June 9, 2010 surrounded by his family at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Fox River NS, he was the son of the late Owen and Jessie (Brewer) Vaughan. He retired as a custodian at NBCC Moncton after 29 years. Frank enjoyed antique cars, the outdoors and fishing. Survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Esther (Douthwright); four daughters Beverly Harrison (Jeff) of Moncton; Sandra Vaughan (Marc Richard) of Scoudouc; Heidi Vaughan (Paul Bourque) of Moncton and Valerie Vaughan of Moncton, a very special family friend Kelly Ells of Moncton; his mother in law Estella Douthwright of Salisbury, Aunts, Ethel (Jake) Van Gogh of Oromocto; Ida Rissesco of Windsor, NS; Emma Anderson of Dartmouth, NS; Isabel O'Brien of Epworth, NL; and uncle Harold Morgan of Paradise, NL, Uncle Willis Cole, Tatamagouche and cousins, family and friends. He will also be greatly missed by his canine companion Tracker. Predeceased by his father in-law Melbourne Douthwright. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be Saturday June 12 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury.
