Wylie, Alice Georgina - 1929 - 2012 - Alice G. Wylie, 83, of Moncton, NB; passed away with her family at her side at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness on Thursday December 6, 2012. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha Godsoe. Alice was formerly employed with Cy's Restaurant. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be sadly missed by her children Lillian Shaffer (Calvin) of Elgin, Charles (Sandra) of Quispamsis, Stanley (Marjorie) and Ernest (Penny) Wylie of Moncton, eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her sister Florence White of Woodstock, NB; she will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Roy V. Wylie in 1972, her son Chris and by five siblings.
Honoring Alice's wishes, visitation will be at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. As requested by Alice there will be no funeral service. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton, NB. Donations in Alice's memory made to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated. Thelma, Isabel Russell/Prosser, and I were raised by Florence Crossman and I thought they were my siblings until 1945.
The two girls were taken to the children's home while I was taken in by James and Irene Bannister.
