DOUTHWRIGHT, J. E. "BUD" - 1920 - 2012 - J. E. "Bud" Douthwright formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully, 10 days short of his 92nd birthday, surrounded by his family at the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor (Riverview) on Saturday, September 1st, 2012. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Harvey and Adelia (Ayles) Douthwright. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the Royal Canadian Army. Bud was retired from School District # 15. Bud will be sadly missed by his loving wife; Winona L. (MacLean), daughters; Kathleen Smith (James) of Lutes Mountain, Linda Vautour (Aurele) of Dieppe and Elsa Sage (Don) of Moncton, sons Alan Douthwright (Brenda) of Lutes Mountain and Glen Douthwright (Joanne) of Moncton, 10 grand children, 11 great grandchildren, five great great granchildren, sister Shirley Gallant (Ben) of Moncton and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bud is predeceased by a son; James Douglas (1949), sisters; Helen Paddock, Jean Geggie, Marjorie Anderson, Peggy Matchett and brothers; Rae, Kenneth, Clarence, Austin and Don.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel, 171 Lutz Street on Tuesday, September 4th, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Elizabeth Wall officiating. Winona L. Douthwright, 96, formerly of Watson Ave. Moncton; passed away at Salvation Army Lakeview Manor in Riverview, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Born in MacLean Settlement, NB on April 16, 1920; she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Olevia (Jones) MacLean. She was a retired employee of Woolworth Co. Ltd.
Winnie enjoyed crossword puzzles, however her greatest love was keeping close and in touch with her grandchildren.
Left with fond memories are her three daughters Kay Smith (Jim) of Lutes Mountain, Linda Vautour (the late Aurele) of Dieppe and Elsa Sage (Don) of Moncton; her two sons Alan Douthwright (Brenda) of Lutes Mountain and Glen Douthwright (Joanne) of Moncton; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.
Winnie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James "Bud" Douthwright in 2012 ; by a son James Douglas in 1949; also by eight siblings.

632. Gordon James AYLES
Gordon James Ayles passed away on October 25, 2015 at Lakeview Manor in Riverview. Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late Gordon James Ayles Sr. and Prudence Wells.
Gordon attended the school of the deaf in Halifax, NS, where he met the love of his life Christina (Robertson) Ayles. Together, they enjoyed 66 years of marriage. Gordon was employed by Lanes/Bens Bakery for over 30 years. He was involved with the Wesleyan church and very active in the deaf community. He enjoyed taking the bus to meet friends, attending the horse races and trips to PEI with his wife.
Gordon is survived by his beloved sons, Walter Ayles (Anne) and Kane Ayles (Yvonne); grandchildren, Angela Rafferty (Richard), Jennifer, Heather (Murray), Kailey (Brandon), Shannon (Ronald), Matthew and Lindsay Ayles; great grandchildren Keira and Liam Rafferty, Nathan, Anthony, Jaxson and Lennox. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother George and sister Marion.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 10 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am, both in Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Rd, Moncton, NB, E1E 3V9, 506-852-3530. Burial will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, followed by a reception in the Garden View Room.

Gurney Tower of Albert County passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, February 12, 2016. Born in Albert County, he was the son of the late Clifford and Lottie (Leaman) Tower.
Gurney was retired from Quality Concrete as a truck driver. He took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors whether it be camping, hunting or browsing the local flea markets. His passion revolved around Dodge trucks and you would often find him tinkering around under the hood.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Linda (Stiles); son, Nathan (Carla Allen); granddaughter, Mindy (Deveren); great-grandson, Dylan who was Grampie’s boy; brothers, Bert (Sharon), Clifford (Linda), Brian (Barb); sister, Wanda Martin; sister in law, Rosalie Tower; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Gurney was predeceased by brothers, Arnold and Charles; sisters, Shirley Bannister and Marjorie Geldart; and grandson, Rowdy Tower.

TOWER, ARNOLD R. - 1938-2013 - Arnold Tower, 74, of Turtle Creek, NB passed away with his loving family by his side at the Moncton Hospital, on Monday, April 29, 2013. Born In Turtle Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Clifford and Lottie (Leaman) Tower. He was employed with Firestone and retired with 20+ years service. Arnold was a long time member of the Albert County Progressive Conservative Association. He was an avid outdoorsman; he fished and hunted moose and deer. Arnold also enjoyed playing bingo and last but definitely not least talking politics, however his greatest love was his family and friends. A loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, pap, brother and a friend to all, he will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosalie Tower; his daughter, Marlene Fawcett (Bruce) of Cambridge Narrows; his sons, Doug Tower (Cam) of Irishtown Road, Allan Tower (Darla) of Rosevale and Terry Tower (Della) of Riverview; his adoring grandchildren, Jodi, Tommy, Samantha (Cory) and Tabatha; one sister, Wanda Martin (the late Bob) of Moncton; four brothers, Gurney (Linda) of Turtle Creek, Clifford (Linda) of Upper Coverdale, Bert (Sharon) of Manitoba and Brian (Barb) of Riverview; his former sister-in-law, Donna Tower of Moncton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and his many friends. 1923 - 2011 - Lena P. Prosser, 87, of Riverview, with members of her family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday morning, February 23, 2011. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Cora (Douthwright) Steeves. Lena was a regular attendee of the Salisbury Merrymakers, an avid card player (cribbage and bridge), enjoyed her extended family at Buckingham Place, but first and foremost was spending quality time with her family. Lena will be sadly missed by her loving family, son Roger, Moncton; daughters Linda Duguay (Gary), Sudbury, ON, Carol Locke (Rev. Philip), New Minas, NS, Kathy LeBlanc (Raymond), Moncton, Faye Eldridge, New Minas, NS, Lois Cormier (Gerald), Fredericton; thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
