Sylvia Bernice Trueman
Sylvia Bernice Trueman, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the age of 70 years. Born in Turtle Creek, NB August 5, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Hazel (Weir) O'Brien. Sylvia had a passion for reading, she was also avid card player and enjoyed playing bingo. Sylvia's greatest love was her family and grandchildren, a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all, she will be deeply missed by her husband, Charles E. Trueman; two sons Charles Trueman (Deborah) of Lake Echo, NS and Michael Trueman (Verna) of Riverview; her adoring grandchildren Robert, Pamela, Michael, Krista, Rebecca, Wendy and Karen; great grandchild Jay-Lynn; two sisters Myrtle Nimchuk of Seaforth, NS and Marilyn Rogers (Vernon) of Mollins Road; brother Robert O'Brien (Nola) of Halifax, NS; as well as nieces, nephews and a special family friend Elizabeth Trueman. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two daughters Marlene and Brenda Trueman. A memorial service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel 214 Pine Glen Rd. in Riverview on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 2:00 pm. If so desired, donations in Sylvia's memory can be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to the charity of the donors choice. Kimberley Jane Weir of Riverview, passed away suddenly at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Born on December 27, 1961 in Ottawa she was the daughter of Daphne and the late James Weir. She was employed by the Moncton Hospital as a network administrator for the past 10 years previously employed by Extra Mural Care as head secretary where she enjoyed the companionship of her many coworkers. Kimberley was a hard working, loving and devoted mother to her children, family, friends, and many pets. She enjoyed not only being with her family but also travelling and camping. She loved spending time in St. Martin’s, and being by the ocean. Kimberley will be greatly missed by her spouse Jamie Matthews, daughter Morgan Johnson (Lee Perrin) of Riverview, son, Nathan Weir of Fort McMurray, AB, mother Daphne Weir, of Riverview, sisters; Dawn Weir of Riverview, Glennys Dunn (Chuck) of Ottawa, brother James Riego de Dios, of Vancouver, grandchildren; Stacy, Keagen and Jaden. As well as, nieces; Shannon Dunn (Daniel), Nicola Dunn (Tim), great-neices, Jessica Parsons, Abby Juane and great-nephew, Phillip Bougie. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007), on Sunday, September 27, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 28, at 1:00pm with Rev. Phillip Griffin Allwood officiating. The interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the SPCA or memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
